Our Story
In the attic of a house in 2017, the idea to create GOOD AZ BBQ was born. Five years and 5,000 miles later, it was established. Since our launch in the summer of 2022, we’ve created 1000s of soul-filled eating experiences for people across the Valley.
While the “Z” in our name is meant to be exaggerated, nothing about our barbecue is to be slept on. GOOD AZ BBQ is a family-operated, Black-owned, and faith-filled barbecue catering company based in Mesa, AZ. As an independent business, we care about the food we make. If it is not good enough to be eaten around our table — we will not put it on yours.
It is our belief that life is to be lived one hour at a time and that’s exactly how we make our barbecue. We only smoke over Pecan and Post Oak to provide “Good AZ BBQ for Good AZ People” — so why not be one of them?
